Welcome to our website!
I am pleased to welcome you to our new, improved website where you’ll find information about the work we do and issues of importance to women.
Our website is under construction so please bear with us over the coming months as we make the transition to the wonderful, easier to use, more interactive site that we’re working to create.
On this site you can find out about the range of work being undertaken in the policy office in relation to Aboriginal women, women’s safety, women’s leadership, and our commitment to ensuring women’s voices are heard across the South Australian Government. There are also a number of exciting projects that we are running, as well as outreach and information services provided by the Women's Information Service which is a key part of the Office for Women.
The Office for Women works toward achieving gender equity and positive change for women by collaborating across government and the community. We work closely with women’s groups and organisations, as well as with the government’s advisory group on women’s issues, the Premier’s Council for Women.
We also produce a wide range of resources, including reports, brochures and the Women’s Voice newsletter, which you can access from the website.
There is so much we want to tell you about so please take the time to browse the site and learn more about us. We’d also like you to tell us about what you think and are planning forums and other opportunities for you to share your views with us. We value your ideas and suggestions.
If you need any information that is not currently available on the website please contact us on (08) 8303 0961 or email us. We’d be happy to help.
Thank you for your patience.
Kind regards
Sandy Pitcher
Director, Office for Women
